Re: (Less than) 21 Trig Questions from Amrita

Non negative just includes 0, your b will still be negative.

Re: (Less than) 21 Trig Questions from Amrita

Hmm, they are integers. And because b is +ve, they are negative too. We need to find c1,c2 such that the bracketed expression form the lowest absolute value. So, c1,c2 = -1,-1. But it is still not working?

Are you not supposed to be outside exploring by a lake or a brook, maybe meeting a beautiful damsel?

Re: (Less than) 21 Trig Questions from Amrita

Agnishom, please explain me the problem of Post : 94 in a much easier way.

In mathematics the art of proposing a question must be held of higher value than solving it.

Re: (Less than) 21 Trig Questions from Amrita

I'll have a try:

If
tan(x) = 1

Then, what is the value of x?

x = 45°

Re: (Less than) 21 Trig Questions from Amrita

The tan of -315, -135, 45, 225 Degrees is 1 too

So,
tan(x) = 1
⇒ x ∈ {...., -315 Degree, -135 Degree, 45 Degree, 225 Degree, ...}

Represent that set through set builder notation, Can you?
