Re: Is Anyone using BASIC Anymore?

The first language I learned was Pascal.

Not really.

Agreed. There's a reason no real programmers use Brainmath.

Re: Is Anyone using BASIC Anymore?

Why didn't that change to brainrot?

Pascal was one of my first too, especially for programming competitions.

Re: Is Anyone using BASIC Anymore?

Because the filter doesn't check parts of words.

Hmmm, on my browser it does.

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.
Always satisfy the Prime Directive of getting the right answer above all else.

Re: Is Anyone using BASIC Anymore?

It is not browser dependent.

Protip: use regex es for developing the filter

He changed it manually.

You cannot regex, because you don't really want the filter to always check the words.

Because some words contain swear words without being swear words themselves.

Like that obfuscated language which you named a while ago.

I participated in the competition organized by our country, but that's pretty much it.

Re: Is Anyone using BASIC Anymore?

When I was younger (around 12) my programming skills weren't the best, so I only participated in local and national level contests in Canada (first 2 times I didn't even make IOI). But now I do ACM ICPC in university every year.
