Hello,
Recently I watched a math lecture in which the teacher wrote sqrt(x^2+x) and derived the following alternate form from it:
x * sqrt(1+1/x)
Can someone please explain this derivation step-by-step?
Thanks

Hi;
Just factor an x^2 out of both terms of x^2+x.
But for computational purposes he has produced a problem.
In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.
Always satisfy the Prime Directive of getting the right answer above all else.
