trigonometry

I'm currently doing trigonometry at school and i understand simple stuff such as;

where right angle is at the bottom right of trangle and hypotenuse is facing left, y = base and 12
= opposite to hypotonuse (can't seem to upload a picture)

Tan47 = 12/y
y x Tan47 = 12
y = 12/Tan47
y = 11.19018103
y = 11.2 (rounded to 1d.p.)
(please tell me if you work it out otherwise)

I know it's quite vague but is there any way i could extend my trigonometry studies?

Re: trigonometry

you can use imageshack and (img)http://.......jpg(/img) "(" and ")" should be "[" and "]" instead.

Re: trigonometry

Yes, you are right!!
The vertical is 12
The horizontal is 12 / tan(47).
Good work.
Tangent is rise over run or slope or first derivative.

And images can also be uploaded when you click on "Post Reply" - look for the section "Image Upload"
