Hi can you help me our with this question:

12 students sit for an exam which has a maximum score of 100. The average of 12 scores achieved by students is 95. What is the minimum mark a student could of scored?

hi Ping,

12 x 95 will give the total for all 12 students.

If 11 of them got full marks, how much remains for the low mark student ?

12*95=1140 if 11 students got 100's the 12th student can have a minimum score of 40

11*100+40=1140  1140/12=95
