Mechanics

Hello;

Please I need/want a comprehensive notes on Mechanics, which is also simple and not difficult to understand.

My teacher at school is not making things easy for us at all. No one understands when he teaches. He's just a scholar not a teacher. Uggh!

Many thanks in advance.

Re: Mechanics

His notes are full of irrelevant stuff. I'm just trying to manage. I don't understand some of the formulas and which to use at whatever time.

Re: Mechanics

Hello everyone;

I have waited patiently for about a week for a response. Not putting pressure on anyone but this is only a gentle reminder. Not finding something that suits me, on Google.

Many thanks for your help and response.

Re: Mechanics

We can't give you what you need, because you haven't been specific enough. "Mechanics" is a very broad term: why not tell us exactly what is covered in your syllabus?

Re: Mechanics

Possibly Newtonian Mechanics, or maybe Lagrangian

Re: Mechanics

He can post a problem he is having, then it is easier to help.

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.
Always satisfy the Prime Directive of getting the right answer above all else.

Re: Mechanics

It takes some time to get used to mechanics.

The next knows Lagrangian mechanics

Re: Mechanics

A nifty way to solve maxima and minima problems that have constraints.

Fancy name for a list of partial differentials?

Re: Mechanics

Possibly, but the good part is that M can be made to do the whole process.

Hmm. Can they used for LPP too?

Re: Mechanics

But can you help me find the largest subset in Range[100] such that for every a,b in the subset, a+b isn't?

Re: Mechanics

Pick a subset and try it. Count it if it works. Repeat until subsets are exhausted.

Re: Mechanics

for Range[n], the efficiiency of the algorithm is in O(2^n)

Re: Mechanics

Ok. Thanks for replying. It's in two parts:
1) Statics - Scalar and vector quantities (I guess I have some knowledge about this one), coplanar forces acting at a point,  equilibrium of particles, moment of forces
2) Concepts of motion - displacement, (relative) velocity, and acceleration; equations of motion; Newton's laws of motion; momentum and impulse; friction; motion along inclined planes; further applications of Newton's laws of motion

There you are. Thanks for your abundant help.
