Re: Mechanics

Are you in the right thread?

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.

Re: Mechanics

There's nothing wrong with using abbreviations. Thanks for explaining though.

Yes, I was mentioning some of my favorite physics books. They have got mechanics sections in them.

Have 10.2 yet?

Re: Mechanics

Mathematica? What is the difference between 10.0 and 10.2?

Re: Mechanics

hi math9maniac

1) Statics - Scalar and vector quantities (I guess I have some knowledge about this one), coplanar forces acting at a point,  equilibrium of particles, moment of forces
2) Concepts of motion - displacement, (relative) velocity, and acceleration; equations of motion; Newton's laws of motion; momentum and impulse; friction; motion along inclined planes; further applications of Newton's laws of motion

I think I can help with all of this but I agree with bobbym.  It's a lot easier if you post a question.  Otherwise we don't know where to start ... could start with stuff that is easy for you ... or jump in too deep and you are still lost.
