answer for finding if the person was a lier or not (extra info ^^)
You could ask the question,
" are you from the city of lies?"
People from city of lies will answer,
" No, I am from city of truth."
People from city of truth will answer,
"No, I am from city of truth"

If both answer same, how do you know who really is the liar?
