oh! I overlooked a^2-c^2=d^2 .So the product of slopes is not -1. You have to look back your analysis.

Hi dazzle,
I thought you used your old configuration. Now I find you used my suggestion and took A(0,0) B(a,b) and C(c,0) the slopes you got are correct.But AB=AC . this gives

which gives

Now the product of slopes is -1.

I still don't know what a,b, and c stand for in a^2+b^2=c^2 and how you derived it from AB=AC.  Also, how go the product of the slopes equal -1 now?

I hope you have taken A(0,0)  C(c,0) and B as (a,b). then

by distance formula. and AC=c anyway.
