yet another complex number problem

I have no idea how to approach this question at all. I tried to sub (z-4i)/2 as Y and solved for Y but i dont know what to do with the answer i got. Would appreciate if someone could guide me along. You dont have to do the argand diagram part, i will settle that myself after i have understand how to solve this question. Thanks!
