I have not been able to access my antiquated email, and therefore cannot send a link to my email. Is there an alternate option?

Please let me speak to you frankly and honestly. The problem is this, I have to protect the account of Mathegocart. It is not possible to just hand over his password. It is a severe breach of security. I know him and like him and he is a member here, I can not be sure whom I am posting to right now. You could be someone trying to compromise his account. The only proof of your identity is that you know his email address. I am afraid that is not enough.

Here is what I will suggest, create a new account as mathgogocartincognito and post as before. After a while as I become convinced that you are him I will transfer the post count over to the new account and change the name if you want.

Please understand why that is what I must do. The rights and privacy of members especially the children is number one.

If you are Mathegocart, I urge you to please accept my solution. If you are not and are just trying to trick me into allowing you access to his account, I will hunt you down.

I spent about 4 years posting as a guest on this forum, before everything updated and forced me to register in order to reply to threads (as it stands, guests are able to create threads, but are not able to reply to them, for whatever reason).

I don't feel very different to how I felt when I wasn't a member, although having an account here does give my place here a feeling of permanence. Not to mention the other perks of being a member, like having an avatar, a signature, posting in the Members Only forum, being less likely to be the victim of impersonation, and the (unintentional) "perk" of being able to reply to my own threads, which guests lost the ability to do shortly before I created my account.

That is not true. MIF does not make many of them but we have a couple of active members that are Real Members.

That is true. It always has been a big mystery to me why people prefer the rudeness of the AOPS and flock to that place. Sure, they have more help but that is only because so many have gone there.
