Hi, today i have learnt java programming language at school after basic. I have learnt only 2 commands int(for assigning a value) and system.out.println()(for showing output) and how to begin and end a program. Now, I want to install java programming language on my computer. But when i am searching it on google it is showing results for downloading java jdk. What is it now??? And then where will i get to download my java programming language software. Please can anyone tell me how to download it.

JDK is the development kit.

Do you want to run Java™ programs, or do you want to develop Java programs? If you want to run Java programs, but not develop them, download the Java Runtime Environment, or JRE™.
If you want to develop applications for Java, download the Java Development Kit, or JDK™. The JDK includes the JRE, so you do not have to download both separately.

It looks like then you would use the JRE but you want to write them too?!

That seems to indicate the JDK. But it would be best to wait for someone who knows Java better to advise you. Unless you do not care about how much you download.

I would think it was programmed in something else like php or flash but I am not an expert on those languages.

I would agree he would know because he programmed it. But it is probably not done in C++ because it is not good for net stuff.

But it is good for programming other things. The Microsoft office (excel, word, pp, outlook and others) are programmed in C++.

while most of the internet applications and games you see are programmed in java. I will soon be learning C++ after java in cls 9 only.

Oh no, till class 10 every subject is compulsory. From class 11 onwards we can choose our choice subject. Why, doesn't this happen in your country?
