What is the ratio between the lengths of a rectangular pool table if a ball launched from one of the sides under an angle of 45° passes through the starting point after 6 reflections?(when I say reflection I mean that the ball hits the side of the table)

Hi;
It needs a diagram. What does launched from one of the sides mean? Pool tables come in 3 1/2 x 7, 4 x 8, 4 1/2 x 9, 5 x 10 and 6 x 12. This does change the bank angles.
In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.
Always satisfy the Prime Directive of getting the right answer above all else.

Assuming the last time the ball hits an edge counts for the 6 total, I get a 2:1 ratio for the lengths of the sides. Otherwise, I don't think it's possible.
