The parallel sides of a trapezium are 3 cms and 9 cms . The non- parallel sides are 4 cms and 6 cms. A line parallel to the base divides the trapezium into two trapeziums of equal perimeters. Find the ratio in which each of the non-parallel sides is divided.
Assume the ratio as x:1 and equate the perimeters. The internal side being common to both can just be cancelled ,no calculation of that side is necessary.
