Anyways, I'm having a little bit of difficulty regarding an alternating series problem:
Now.. I know of the alternating series estimation bound, which states that
However, when attempting a simple plug-n-chug with the estimation above, I found that it would require ~x>2.2(i.e more than two terms) for the estimation to be within 1/300,000th of the true value.. whilst the problem states that using two terms would bring the estimation within said number.. a contradiction. Am I simply applying it incorrectly? Please advise.
