Intercepts of the Equation

Find the x- and y-intercepts of the graph of the equation.

y = 8 − 3x

To find the x-intercepts, let y = 0.

0 = 8 - 3x

-8 = -3x

-8/-3 = x

8/3 = x

To find the y-intercept, let x = 0.

y = 8 - 3(0)

y = 8 - 0

y = 8

Questions:

Can I also express the answer as a point?
Can I say the point (8/3, 0) is the x-intercept?
Can I say the point (0, 8) is the y-intercept?
