I ran home as quickly as I could. I could hear footsteps trailing behind me. It was a long journey to my house, but I made it. I shut the door, shut all the windows, and got on with my homework assignments. Little did I know I was being watched. It was freezing inside the old cabin. Damp and dusty, like no-one had been here before - Yet I did not feel safe, as if some immortal being could easily kick down the roof. It would be easy, since the whole house was more or less derelict. I was shivering with fear - I went into my bedroom where I felt most safe, where nobody could find me. I slid under the duvet covers.

By the time it was morning, it was a happy time. The birds were singing, the sun was shining...not a cloud in the sky. It is such a nice day. Too bad there's a pool of blood on the floor with a body in the middle. And too bad there is no evidence of the murderer. And too bad the victim was so young and kind-hearted. Ah well, that's life.
