If you did, that means "p OR not r". To say "p AND not r" in symbols you want to flip your "v" over:

Ugh... It's not that simple. For the first question:
If rectangle ABCD is 9 inches long and 6 inches wide, what is the truth value of the disjunction q v ~p ?
perimeter = 2 x (9 + 6) = 2 x 15 = 30 inches, so q is True because it said that the perimeter is 30 inches.
area = 9 x 6 = 54 square inches, so p is False because it said that the area is 54 square inches.
q v ~p
= True v ~False
= True v True
= True
For the second question:
Suppose rectangle ABCD is 12.5 inches ong and 4 inches wide. What is the truth vaue of the conditional p --> r ?
area = 12.5 x 4 = 50 inches, so p is True because it said that the area is 50 inches.
12.5 is not twice of 4, so r is False because it said that the length is twice the width.
p --> r
= True ---> False
= False
