for problems like these
graph the following function by determining the region of interest:
y = x^3 - 2x + 1

and
given the function, y = 2x^3 - 3x + 2, find the y- intercept and sketch its graph.

i can use this site:
http://www.coolmath.com/graphit/index.html

and just put
x^3 ....... and it'll show me how to graph it

right?

Yes, our one is probably more user-friendly...I recommend using MathsIsFun's Function Grapher and Calculator. It can use several functions.
