calculators

u guys no how like on a ti 89
it leaves answers in simplified radical, log, or like in ln form
and how like a ti 83 and 84 leaves them in decimal form
does any one no how to make the ti 84 or 83 leave simplified answers rather than decimal answers?
like the square root of 3 rather than 1.732050808.....
i no its possible cuz the ti 84 is more recent than the ti 89
so any ideas??
like programs or apps?
also plz if u can list the programs code bc i do not have a cable to hook up w/ the pc...

It can't.  New does not mean better.  Ti-84 specifically left out this feature because it would help students too much.  I am basing this off the fact that there is no approximate shortcut on the ti-84 keyboard.  So I'll look around some more but I'm almost definitely sure, it can't.

From a brief scan through the handbook, it looks like the TI-84 was built right on top of the TI-83, just with more "stuff" (RAM, apps, features, etc).  So it looks like you're out of luck.  Sorry.

isnt there an app or a mirage operating system program that can do it???
cuz those tings are like super powerful
and they can do things taht are superior to the things that can be done on the ti basic language

In short, probably not.  The abilities of the TI-89 are built into the calculator itself.  The frame work for doing things like simplifying calculations just don't exist in the 83/84.

but isnt there a way liek
this is really hard to explain what im askin
but like its all just software and programing
so isnt it somehow possible to get the programming from the ti89
to the ti83?
not thru like a link
but like
someguy discovering how they programmed it into the calc on the 89
and did it to the 83 as a program or app?

There is a difference between possible and feasible.  If you get really creative, I suppose it's probably possible.  It would take probably somewhere along the lines of at least 10,000 lines of code, and that's really just simplifying equations.  It would take this much because as I said, the framework isn't there.   The only way you can treat something in an 83 as not a number is in a string.  And trying to do all of this by string computations is extremely slow and extremely difficult.
