Integral Calculus Problem

I'm having trouble with this two numbers, help is greatly appreciated.

In #1.), is the problem asked supposed to read,
e to the 2x
or
e to the x-squared
or
the square of e-to-the-x ??

I suppose the second one.

Or simply e[sup]2x[/sup] will do.

@Hast:  I'm terrible at Calc, but here's how I am trying to start.  May be wrong.
Oh, also, I'm not starting with the whole problem at all, just the exponential part of it for practice.

Use the letter U in place of x cubed perhaps, substitution?

What next I have to learn more.
