I have alot of trouble with Biology, can someone please explain to me
1.Why is it important for intravenous fluids to be of the same solute concentration of human blood?
2.if you prepared a solution with the same solute concentration as you determined in question # 1, what change in mass would be expected from a potato section that had soaked in that solution 24 hours? Explain

I found the answer to your first question on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intravenou … _imbalance
Administering a too-dilute or too-concentrated solution can disrupt the patients balance of sodium, potassium, magnesium, and other electrolytes. Hospital patients usually receive blood tests to monitor these levels.
Ah, the wonders of the Internet in modern life! You can find answers to questions on any subject, even if youre not studying it.
Now that Ive proved to you that it is possible to find answers to your question by Googling, Ill leave you to Google the answer to your second question.
