Sally can tell Oscar has a hat on always (reading down)
Sine (sally) = Opposite (oscar) / hypotenuse (has)
Cosine (can) = Adjacent (a) / hypotenuse (hat)
Tangent (tell) = Opposite (on) / adjacent (always)
If you want to make it even more likely that kids will remember, change "hat" to "hard"!

I made this one up myself for the planets:
Mount Vesuvius Erupting Menacingly Just Swallowed Up Nearby Pompeii.
Note that it was made up years ago, when Pluto was still considered a planet. Its such a nice mnemonic that I dont want to spoil it by revising it just to accommodate the reclassification of Pluto as a dwarf planet.

For the planets, I had always learned:
My Very Easy Method Just Speeds Up Naming Planets
To remember the English Monarchs, there's:
Willie, Willie, Harry, Stee,
Harry, Rich, John, Harry Three,
One-To-Three Neds, Richard Two,
Harrys Four-Five-Six... then who?
Edwards Four-Five, Rich the Bad,
Harrys (twain), Ned Six (the lad),
Mary, Bessie, James you ken,
Then Charlie, Charlie, James again...
Will & Mary, Anne of gloria,
Georges ( 4! ), Will Four, Victoria,
Edward Seven next, and then
Came George the Fifth in 1910...
Ned the Eighth soon abdicated,
So George Six was coronated,
Then Number Two Elizabeth...
And that's all, folks (until her death...)!!
Eventually, the last line is expected to be changed to:
Charles Three (and now I'm out of breath...!)

Oh and our specialist teacher made a mnemonic for sec, cosec and cot
CHOSHACTOA
cosect(H/O)
sec(H/A)
cot(O/A)
Don't know it its useful to others, but it works for me.

One that I was taught at a Electrician's class, consisting mostly of teenagers, for the sin, cos and tan:
gender Over Here Can Always Happen To Old Age
which means:
gender Over Here: Sin = Opp / Hypot
Can Always Happen: Cos = Adjac / Hypot
To Old Age: Tangent = Opp / Adjac
