Guess#4: 314!
Why did the vector cross the road?
It wanted to be normal.

Oddly enough:
Guess#1: 952 2c
Guess#2: 297 - 2c
Guess#3: 829 - 2b
Guess#4: 314 - 1c
To Mathsys: That would not have been the answer due to Guess 3 results. Still, You might have just wanted to narrow down the possibilities.
I'm thinking one should get this already

Mathsy has narrowed down the possibilities and brilliantly done, too. Without his Guess#4, theres a chance that the game might stretch to 7 guesses. Guess#4 has ensured that the game will not extend beyond 6 guesses.
Guess#5: 129
On the other hand, without his Guess#4, there would have been a probability of 0.25 that the game could have ended in just 4 guesses!

Hmm, let's see...
With Guess#4, the chances of the game ending at n guesses is:
4 - 0
5 - 0.75
6 - 0.25
7 - 0
(Because Guess#4 had a 0.5 chance of being 1B or 0, in which case guess#5 would have been certain. I got unlucky, but there's still a 0.5 chance that #5 will be right anyway)
If I'd made Guess#4 'normally', then the chances would be:
4 - 0.25
5 - 0.25
6 - 0.25
7 - 0.25
So that means that my way has a *slightly* better expected value of guesses needed.
Also a better worst case scenario, which is arguably more important.

Well, whatever youve done, you are a genius.

I am not good at this!

I guess you won, with special mentions to Mathsys

#3: 513 (b)
#4: 402 (b)
Fun fact: Knowing the answers to the first three, the answer to the fourth can be deduced.
#4 was guessed before #3 was answered though, so it wasn't a bad guess.
