vertices
i'm having trouble with what a vertice is. can someone tell me please?
one day, i couldn't find my hat
then it occured to me that i didn't have one
so i didn't where it!!!

It is where 2 or more edges meet at a point.

So how many edges are meeting at the top of a cone?
What if you start to round off the point on the cone so it becomes a hemisphere - does a hemisphere have a vertex?

A corner point of a geometric figure. For a polygon, vertices are where adjacent sides meet. For an angle, the vertex is where the two rays making up the angle meet.
Note: If the figure is a curve or surface, the vertices are the points of maximum curvature.
