Not really.

Hi.

Google sum of cubes. The first page from purplemath is what you need.

I don't think Exodus is in the paragraph.

Maybe it happened in Firefox and you thought its Chrome. smile

It works in Chrome and Firefox for me.

#139 Re: Dark Discussions at Cafe Infinity » What do math majors do? » 2014-07-24 12:59:38

Go to a university, take courses in those 4 subjects, major in the two you enjoy most, do an online degree for another subject (or do a triple major - some do it).

Good luck!

I'm on my phone, so I'll explain later, but please tell me they aren't teaching QM in class 11.

If this is personal, then I'm sorry, but you're blacklisted?

We had a 53 year old graduating with a PhD in Physics and got a good research based job. Can you answer some of the questions in my last post, if you don't mind?

Why are you 'the type of person who won't get employed'? Why do you want a math degree? In which field do hou want a job? Are you planning to study something at university plus math by yourself?

Use that as the last option. If there is no way to do a math degree at a university, then self study or do it online (I highly recommend Harvard Extension in that case).

Just solve one of the equations for x or y and plug it in for x or y respectively in the other equation.

Average schedule for my math classes only is basically lectures a few times a week. Then I sometimes attend recitations (extra supplement to lectures - sort of like the tutorial system in UK) if I need some help. We have tough problem sets so they take a long time usually.

You do learn new concepts, but oftentimes you are instigated to learn them on your own. For example, the professor poses some problem causing us to develop some new idea by our self.

Or google "proof of theorem [enter name here]". A lot of the times you can find the proof there.
