Help? Math book confusing...

I ususally have difficulty with my weekly math assignments, but this weeks is fairly easy...except when it comes to describing and reading tables and graphs. For some reason I just can't wrap that concept around my brain. Oh well...Anyways, I do not know what to do with this problem...Any help?

b. Interpret the median and the interquartile range for each distribution...

Re: Help? Math book confusing...

Interquartile range = Q3 - Q1
Where Q1 is lower quartile, Q3 is upper quartile.
The median is also known as Q2

Re: Help? Math book confusing...

The interquartile range helps you to understand how spread out the set of the data
The median the middle number of your data set.

Re: Help? Math book confusing...

1. Interquartile range is used to measure the spread of the data set

2. The median is used to measure the centre of data set
