Is my soln correct?

Find the foci and vertices for y^2/36+x^2/9=1
I got it as(0,4) and vertices (12,9)
I used the (x-h) and (y-k) form and found the ans.

But, my teacher told it is wrong. Does anybody knows this?

Just checking ... you mean

That would be an ellipse.

major axis = 2a = 12

minor axis = 2b = 6

so eccentricity = e where

and the foci are at  ±ae 

But what do you mean by the vertices?

At http://www.mathwords.com/v/vertices_of_an_ellipse.htm it says they are at the ends of the major axis, so (0,6) and (0,-6)
