Divide 2x^4 - 3x^3 + 0x^2 + x + 1 by 2x^2 + x + 1.
Note: 0x^2 is a place holder.
After more than an hour, I finally got the right answer.
Quotient = x^2 - 2x + (1/2).
Remainder = (5x/2) + (1/2).
Problem 97 on page 49.

I find the most likely source of error is sign mistakes. You need to be careful with minus a minus.
