Re: parametric equation

Make x the subject of its equation first:

t = 1 + x/4
t-1 = x/4
x = 4(t-1)

Then substitute that into the y equation to get y in terms of t.

y = √(x+4)
y = √(4(t-1)+4)
y = √(4t)
y = 2√t

Why did the vector cross the road?
It wanted to be normal.
